Ranti is founder and Managing Director of Matlotlo Group, a holding company of Moruba Consultants and Actuaries. Having been the only person in his class to graduate his actuarial degree with distinctions in Actuarial Science and Mathematical Statistics, he went on to qualify as South Africa’s first Black actuary and at the same time set a standing record of being the youngest person in SA to qualify as an actuary.
Ranti has 10 years actuarial experience across banking, investments, insurance and retirement funding arrangements. He has worked on statutory actuarial valuation reports for numerous clients and is well on track to becoming the first Black South African valuator of retirement funds.
He actively participates in the actuarial profession through the current memberships of the Banking and Finance Committee and the Research Committee. He was previously a member of the PGN104 task team. Ranti is founding secretary of the Association of South African Black Actuarial Professionals and has received the Actuarial Society Presidential Award in recognition of this role.
Ranti’s other directorships include those of Matlotlo Group, ECIC, SASRIA and the Land Bank Insurance Company
